We are  looking for young adults to help our attendees as they learn transition-related skills at this year's Summer Institute! As a Summer Institute mentor, you will get the opportunity to build friendships, create memories, and give back to your local Tallahassee community. 

As a mentor, you will be paired or placed in small groups with Summer Institute attendees. Your experience working, along with other components, with this population will influence your attendee pairings and groups.

Our mentorship program offers paid positions as well as volunteer opportunities. 

Information to Know

1. Pay position rate: $12.00 an hour

2. Volunteer position: as many hours as desired

3. Dates: Thursday, June 13,  June 20, June 27, July 11, and July 18

4. Hours: 5:30pm-8 pm (2.5-hours per week, 12.5 hours total)

• In-person

• Mentor Training Provided before Summer Institute 

• 6-8 pm: Weekly Event with Summer Institute Attendees 

6. Requirements 

• Interest form submission

• LCS Volunteer form 

• Mentor Orientation (dates TBD, in May and June)
